Should I play the violin or viola?

Hello!
I am a serious French horn player, but recently I've been thinking
about picking up violin or viola after marching band ends and I only
hAve jazz lab (trumpet) and orchestra (FH). I'll be renting the
instrument, not buying. I also have looong fingers

Please help me choose! ThAnk you :)

Ps. My reAsons are 1) I want to play cello but rentals are expensive
2) FH is my love, but I want to try a string instrument 3) a couple of

my friends are known throuh out NJ for their violin+viola playing
-we'll be freshman- and I'd like to see why they enjoy it so much.
